Christmas is coming …

With the holidays just around the corner now is a great time to get your knives sharpened.

The holiday season brings with it a lot of food preparation and carving. A sharp knife not only makes the job easier but safer as well. When a knife is dull you compensate for it by adding extra force to each cut. The extra force translates into extra momentum when a slip or break occurs and can cause more frequent and more serious injuries.

A quick test to see if a knife needs sharpening is to cut a tomato. If the knife cuts the tomato easily without squashing it then it is good.
